sponsor for mac buildbox?

Post by kaka »

on this page of a free software CAD software, on the bottom, i saw that they get a build-bot sponsored from a mac cloud company. in case this is still an issue with spring, it might be worth contacting them, to ask if we could get the same deal.

and yeah.. i see that this looks a lot like spamming, and would not be angry if it was deleted. ;-)

See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38493&p=590080#p590080 - the problem is not missing buildbot power, the problem is that apple chooses not to support gfx features that are necessary to compile Spring.

FYI: It's possible to compile Spring. It's just not possible to run it. :)
Unless some major changes have happened since I last compiled develop branch a couple weeks ago

Happy to be corrected but I suspect this isn't true without commenting some stuff out? And ofc then, you're not actually compiling "spring" anymore.

Is there some workaround? Like - when its only the rendering stack thats missing- could that be somehow , like a partially virtual machine consisting only of a gfx stack emulation on top of a older machine? Sure would be slower though, but in springs case...

When I last built, I didn't have to change a thing.
