Hi, i would love to see the following feature.
Basically all players agree upon a intervall. After the gamestart, at this intervall, the whole of input- history(savegame) is saved in a save game. So far so conventional.
This is then committed into a Git-Replay. Meaning, the Replay can be hosted, can be backtracked, downloaded and merged with other Replays forking away from a similar situation.
This would allow for games to start from a scenario.
"Godde cant get out of this one" comes to mind as a title.

Ooh this could be so fun. I wonder the potential it could be used for training newer players?
Okay, maybe not, but I'd love to see where this could go.

Backtracking sounds difficult.
Unless it died away without my noticing, Spring does have the ability to host and play a replay file online with multiple observers. (But, iirc, the lobbies don't actually offer the option.)

We do have the technology, but we might consider not using it?
