Music in multispeaker-setup

Post by pete »

Hi,

i'm using Xubuntu 15.10 with a 4.0-speaker-setup. I'm searching for a way to get the background music played on all of this speakers.

While the ingame-sounds are mapped fine to the right speaker (e.g. sound from "behind" are played on back/surround speaker) the music is only played on the front speakers.

Zero-K seems to use Spring.PlaySoundStream for playing the music, but I haven't found a documented way to configure the output aside from the volume.

Is there a way to map the music to all speakers?

Music is mono maybe? Otherwise this is probably a oggvorbis or openal library issue.

I've checked it, music is stereo. But there is no reason to play music only on the front-speakers, since it is not "direction-depending".
