new version of BA widget - Comblast Range v7
This widget is drawing circle to show radius of commander explosion (helps a lot).
Also it draws TRUE dgun damage radius! And for enemy commanders too!

P.S. Initial author of the widget is TheFatController - respect to him
P.P.S. I used some code from blastRadius widget so my respect goes to very_bad_soldier too ofc

Re: new version of BA widget - Comblast Range v2
Not all issues for spectators fixed.
Widget still don't draw circles after /specfullview
Don't be scared. It's not very important. Feel free to use widget

Very cool! I am not a fan of excessive ui clutter, but maybe you would consider the following?
How about only showing the blast radius for your own commander in flashing yellow and red if you have issued it a self destruct order (you still have 5 seconds to cancel anyway), and only showing the enemy commander's blast radius if the enemy is in LLT range (or closer).
Maybe even if your comm and any enemy comm is within blast radius, draw all the circles for all commanders inside that multi-blast area.

Beherith, I think it's very useful to see the circles all the time.
1) when you are teching - you can see will commander blow your units or not. And you can place commander with blast range near nano turret to suck m with that nano
2) you allways know which units will be killed when your or enemy commander will die
it work this way by design. Circles are transparent and thin so they are not distract player.

I think this is a good idea too.Beherith wrote:How about only showing the blast radius for your own commander in flashing yellow and red if you have issued it a self destruct order (you still have 5 seconds to cancel anyway), and only showing the enemy commander's blast radius if the enemy is in LLT range (or closer).
It won't cause problems for people who want to self-d & then reclaim because they have 5 seconds seeing the comblast range to either cancel the self d or position the com correctly.

Re: new version of BA widget - Comblast Range v5
What was the problem with the Blast Radius widget in the first place? It does some extra stuff and also displays blast radii for all selected units when pressing META+X, so not restricted to commander.
Re: new version of BA widget - Comblast Range v5
1) it needs to remember hotkey => not user friendly. 2) My point is: you need such info all the time for different reasons.very_bad_soldier wrote:What was the problem with the Blast Radius widget in the first place? Re: new version of BA widget - Comblast Range v6
OMG new version released!
Now it draws a circle for d-gun too!! But wait! Why this circle is bigger then circle that we can see when dgunnig?? Because d-gun have not only range but also area of effect! So it's range + area of effect! Now you will know true damage range! For your com and enemy too!
