Crash on both OMP and ASIM

Post by klapmongool »

Multiple times in a game it just crashed. Screen froze and I had to stop it using task manager. After two crashes I switched to OMP. It crashed twice after that.

Made infolog with crash on OMP. Also found out when it crashed; the moment I used mouse5.

Fix: don't use mouse5. Got anything better for me?

Crah, but no stacktrace blame ati drivers they are known for this.
Try different GPU drivers (older ones too).

?

It crashes when I press mouse5. That is a gfx / cpu driver problem?

In first post you didn't said it crashed cause of mouse5.
If it does so blame other programs that run in background.

Hey, i have a similar issue, http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=30625

So basically it could be TeamSpeak clashing with BA and causing the crash. Would there be anyway to prevent Teamspeak from crashing BA? Because if i use a different key such as ALT for my microphone button, it doesnt crash.

I've heard quite a lot of people with fancy mice having similar issues - but I have a boring old mouse and no problems!

Can you bind TS to a different key and see if the problem remains? My gut is that TS is trying to do something visual (some kind of overlay that it's trying to draw on top of spring) and that's the real cause.

I don't have TS (or mumble) installed. Only other stuff running; utorrent, microsoft security essentials.

I'll do more testing later I guess. Perhaps a clean spring install will do.

Yeah i moved the key to ALT and it works fine so i don't know what specifically could be causing mouse 5 to crash BA, :| Any idea's?

De-installed spring. Downloaded portable version. Only moved maps and mods back in. Didn't add any widgets.

Crash at the moment I pressed mouse5. Infolog added.

Oh and Springlobby packed with portable spring creates a dir in %\AppData\Roaming\SpringLobby.

BA has a widget that assigns mouse4/5 to buildspacing
i'm not sure whenever it's that, or customformations2 with the hang bug being the guilty
