Wes anderson...
I always feel I'm suppose to be entertained by how weird and unbelievable the story and characters are..
Yes yes they are all extremely quirky, now what?
Can't watch any of his films.

I didnt think it was gonna be anything special but I was mistaken.
Just watched this and was a bit disappointed with the middle section. Too much paranoia and delusions for my personal taste. Overall better than Inception though, which I did not like at all.

It's a really good movie, but if you're a fan of mindfuck movies, it's going to feel like a Hollywood attempt at it. I loved it, but it was nowhere near the weirdness of Survive Style 5+, Tetsuo, Symbol, Begotten..

Plus yeah, different kind of mindfuck than those.

Wow, that was entertaining. It is interesting how the low frame rate can make the CGI look more like real puppets.

This one also good. But how can Sigourney Weaver appear at the very top of the cast when she only plays for 2 minutes at the end? That is almost insulting to the other actors.

No... it looks like well animated real puppets because it's stop motion... if you can find the making of videos they are fascinating.

'Looper'

They took damn old idea but instead of adding shittons of special effects, actually tried to surprise viewer (succesfully).
If you plan to watch it online or in cinema - movie is not broken, its supposed to be like that ;) (you will know when you see it)

EDIT - also watched 'The Mist'

Pretty good for such a stupid plot.

Watched looper.
I liked it but IMO it should have been longer, yes, longer.
There was something missing...
Maybe there will be a different cut released which will be better.

Watch The Prestige, that movie was a lot better than I was expecting it to be.

Watched 'Ted'. Expected some dumb romantic movie, but it was actually good laugh. Surprisingly, Wahlberg was worst actor :'

Afaik, there wont be. Director actually wanted many questions to be unanswered and plot bit messed up.

Seen 'Here comes to boom' too. Not worth paying for the cinema, but still good stuff.

Oh, and Expendables 2. Well, its Expendables 2, lol.

Watched "My Neighbour Totoro" with girlfriend and little one. It's fantastic and I'll be trying other kids' movies from this so-called "Studio Ghibli."

My favourite part was the cat-bus.

also good:

Inbred - good, funny English horror movie. Blood and farmers everywhere.

Universal Soldier Day of Reckoning - Doesn't shy away from the 80's feel of the original. In fact, it embraces it, and leaves the movie feeling a bit dated and cheesy. However, if you need something mindless to watch and want to see some violence, it's worth it.

Pelada - Great doc about a couple going around the world to participate in pick-up soccer matches. I got it because of the soccer, but really it's a movie about how your life-long dreams can die off, and that it can turn out okay when they do.

Into the Abyss - Werner Herzog doc where he interviews a death-row inmate and the victims effected by his crimes. I think they are executing the wrong guy; just one Kaisers' opinion though.

Cropsey - This guy, he worked at a childrens mental hospital, then got fired for molesting one of the kids, then lived in a tent in the woods near the hospital until it closed down, then moved into the abandoned steam tunnels beneath, only to sneak out at night to abduct and murder children with disabilities (or to give the children to a cult for satanic sacrifice). It's a doc.

I love Studio Ghibli, even though they are aimed at kids. I recommend:

Spirited Away
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Princess Mononoke
Howl's Moving Castle
The Cat Returns

Avoid Grave of the Fireflies. It's too dark for children and too short to be sold as a feature film IMHO.

funny because IMO this was the only relevant thing GHIBLI did.

Just want to say I really liked Cloud Atlas. Avoid reading too much about it so the film can be all the more interesting. If you are romantic type or you are not someone who prefers films to make them miserable, watch this.
