cleanup of http://springrts.com/dl/

Post by abma »

i moved some of the files into http://springrts.com/dl/oldcrap/

there can still be some stuff imo removed, but i'm not sure if some external site still links to some of the files...

i hope i didn't move away to many/still used files...

yes ZKL uses it to download various engine versions.
The zip or exe instalelrs of engine.

Older versions are not in buildbot subfolder.

hmm, i don't get most of your responses...

all folders in dl/buildbot are automaticly cleaned after some time (expect the master folder).

all stable releases are kept...

i didn't move spring_<someversion>.exe to "oldcrap". somebody else did that some time ago. the rest of the files are imo really useless... this is why i started this thread. does somebody see a file in "oldcrap" that shouldn't be deleted? or some file that can be safely deleted?

the "oldcrap" folder will be deleted after some time... (as imo the name already says...)

Basically make sure any and all spring version installers are kept there.

Often we want to watch an old demo or something and zkl auto downloads it.

No point deleting them if they work.

Server still has 1.5tb of free space.

that does mean? can you be more specific? which files in "oldcrap" to not delete / which ones to delete?
dl/buildbot is automaticly cleaned, i just fixed the script so it does, what it was intended to do...

somebody think of the software archeologists here.. how can they date stuff that aint there? Just make a folder of "evenOlderCrap" and move the files there. That way the c-64-method will allow for precise dating.

Dont you say "Its useless" while they dig out koprolithed shitters of ancient times. ; )
