I've read about him before, but I guess there is now a large effort to campaign a non-partisan effort to get him. You know, for the child soldiers and all that...

Re: any one else run into this guy?
I'm kind of happy that, for the first time pretty much ever, popular pressure is starting to force governmental action in tackling and taking down CLEARLY evil and terrible people internationally.
The financial record of the charity in question here is a little worrying though http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.c ... rgid=12429
The 3 charity founders pay themselves about 80,000$ a year for managing the charity, and they've not readily provided their financial figures to overseeing body's when requested. It's not horrible, per say, it's just a little questionable.

Re: any one else run into this guy?
It's still a modest sum compared to most successful film makers, but I think it's also pretty frigging generous compared to most charity administrators.smoth wrote:I dn't make that much and I work about 50 hours a week
Re: any one else run into this guy?
these guys are not successful filmmakers. Looks to me like they are profiteering.

They merely went viral.
Re: any one else run into this guy?
lol.... they all want its money, they will never help children, only in 1 condition, if later the guys helps them, like on wiki says, but that is even worse, they educate the childrens for wars
Re: any one else run into this guy?
I stopped around 14 minute mark because I had to puke.
He had footage of c00l looking white house people and was complaining what a tragedy is that united states won't invade the country he wants and murder civilians because it isn't in their financial or national security interest.
I didn't buy a specialized desk with a computer display holder so I improvised one ghetto-style by using two book stacks covered with a wooden plank.
Part of the aforementioned stacks is a comic book collection, dated 1967.
One of the comics stars rebel groups operating on our national territory in and post second World War.
The particular story is when two children overhear about an approaching Axis convoy while working their shift at a munitions and explosives shop. They are outraged that the leaders won't take action in order to keep a low profile and avoid discovery. So they go and stage an ambush, lobbing the convoy with the newly manufactured grenades they took.
They don't get everyone with the first volley so it almost goes badly when the escort military recovers, and starts deploying, but in the end the two heroes are saved when the main rebel force arrives and murders all witnesses.
It isn't shaped as a documentary showing how using preteens for war means is bad, or trying to move the viewers with the boys tragic destiny of eventually failing to luck out of a fuckup or some other way to make it feel politically engaging for westerners.
The moral of the story is that when you are recruited into an unit and feel sufficiently armed to take on the enemy, you should still listen to your elders, because they know better and your desire of revenge for losing your family doesn't entitle you to endanger the lives of your fellow companion guerilla fighters.
Today we would call this child terrorist training manual and have US 'experts' whine about it on internet forums.
I don't believe anything in this fucking video it is just special-ordered propaganda content by people that are trying to convince you that being apathetic or even openly agreeing with the upcoming US invasion of Iran doesn't make you a disgusting murderer.
Instead paste some tripe BS about using peace talks to recover military strength, or not being a cooperative negotiator, or that recruiting child soldiers makes you a bad person, or killing civilians etc.etc. to try and villify an opposing faction leader. Any of these can be levied for the various anti/pro nazi and anti/pro communist movements that took place here in the past.

Geeze, this is why we cannot have threads like this. it goes from, ugandan troubles->charity questionability-> supporting a war in iran makes you a murderer.....Andrej wrote: I don't believe anything in this fucking video it is just special-ordered propaganda content by people that are trying to convince you that being apathetic or even openly agreeing with the upcoming US invasion of Iran doesn't make you a disgusting murderer.

Re: any one else run into this guy?
Well about Iran>Israel, they want a third world war, Iran has Atomic bomb, i dont imagine if Israel atacks Iran and Iran send a nuke bomb to new york city, 30 mill people dead? it doesnt make sense, Israel and USA want its fuel even if USA lost 50 or 100 mill people.
Re: any one else run into this guy?
The thing is , its all about politicans, and a third world war seems very close, if theres a third world war 3/4 of world will be death, lets hope not, its stupid both sides have more to lost than to win.....

THE LEAST you can do is stay the fuck out of politics threads.
The politics ban was instated by the infamous Smoth forums / E&E community member Das Bruce, recently gaining moderator status, given by another Smoth supporter Neddie, smoth wrote:This doesn't make sense, rephrase it plaseAndrej wrote:Politics ban was never revoked.

Bruce and neddie are not my bitches to command.
this wasn't a politics thread until you turned it into one. So you could have kept UNRELATED politics out of this thread.

In Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex tv series, the chief spouts some pretentious one liner that is relevant to situation at hand:
Teamwork does not exist, the concept only arises as side effect of actions of highly skilled individuals pursuing same goal.
(For additional info search for "teamwork" in GiTS Philosophy wiki article or something)
Of course there was no cooperation or comandeering minions, Das was already assured mod power years ago !!
(YEARS http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... 64#p110264 As part of stacking the panel with US majority.)
It it only the coincidence that the prohibition was declared after a heartfelt smoth request policy change thread!
The group acts as part of the big picture US takeover movement.

Remember, the idea of banning politics was not exactly born yesterday,
there have been previous attempts:

Yes, smoth thread. Duh. (By the way he is the 'operator' of the how SOPA affects
game projects thread, politics is fine when smoth approved)
Quoting people with mod-level rank from that thread:
So here we have a thread in "General Discussion" section, title "Please disallow political discussion on this site." the 'idea' is discussed, Overwhelming Backslash TM, except for DasBruce banstick calling.
A year later:
http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... 68#p495968
Thread in "Off Topic Discussion", title "No politics or religion", no mention of previous failed attempt, not a discussion instead post facto bulletin informing the peasants of the exciting new tax.
For not-stated reasons it is apparently unfathomably essential to not bless us with the same level of transparency as the in the politics ban attempt of yesteryears.

PM moderators, or ... feel threatened ... make a thread.
Re: any one else run into this guy?
yes, yes, here i am, right on time
the subject has nothing to do with USA->Iran or Israel->Iran excepting a tentative tinfoil-hatted connection.
if you're going to mention anything remotely political, walk on eggshells, because this community has members from all over the world with varying beliefs and values.
this thread is about a viral video... it's not inherently political in nature... we could either have ignored the global-scale speculation and forum meta-discussion and concentrated on what is actually the issue presented (child soldiers, and the legitimacy of the kony video) or, the other option, which was locking this shit. thanks for making it easy for me
