You could use NotaLobby. It's nice.gajop wrote:<insert insult/>Cheesecan wrote: I don't mind (and neither should you) that ZK is grabbing exclusive rights, banning SL and any other lobby that doesn't want to play along. It's their right to control their own game. Why run another lobby if you are going to play ZK anyway? ZK lobby has the best support for ZK and that is unlikely to change.
Banning SL pretty much means banning linux until other cross-platform lobbies become usable.
It may be their right to do that, and if they do I would certainly stop playing it until it's resolved.
And all for what? Juggler? Sigh...

As mentioned earlier, notalobby is somewhat lacking at this point in eg. chat channels, singleplayer.

... if you had sent me the gold as promised... sure!
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
He said he's implementing chat soon. For singleplayer you could still use SL.Anarchid wrote:As mentioned earlier, notalobby is somewhat lacking at this point in eg. chat channels, singleplayer.
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
the !join feature has been requested by many lobby users to force their friend to join some games, or to organize tourney, tasclient has a group option to allow the !join commands coming from anyone (and it also supports passwords : !join someone password), what the lobby really needs is just a PRIVATEDATA, so any user can send private commands to anyone, and we wouldnt need to wait years to get lobby protocol updates, privatedatarooms could also be added to make help broadcasting commands to registered users
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
Out of curiosity, sorry to derail, but what prevents !join abuse?
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
Atm ZKL only listen to !join from current host or lobby admin.
In other cases its ignored atm, but it could ask or work the same way tasclient does.

Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
so we make 1000 bots, hosting BA DSD -> insta transfer to a KP, Gundam or S44 game!
or we make two BA DSD bots, auto transfering players to each other -> endless loop!
nobody will join BA DSD anymore!

Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
If thats an attempt to describe abuse scenario, it fails..
1) people join the biggest game with most people.. why would they keep joining redirectors
2) there are admins, there are millions ways to abuse stuff in spring, admins take care of it if something like that happens.

Which admins?
Never saw one intervene online in my 1000 hours.
Nice to see you are relying on human intervention to sort out the problems with your designs.

I find there is at least one more option for the final solution of this drama.
So, besides /by eleven o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their troops from Poland/:
5: Lua lobby.

Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
There are millions way of "abuse" spring.
You can make thousand battle rooms and each one can kick people instantly.
You can create games that crash or freeze computers.
You can create games that delete user's configs.
You can crash running games.
You can cheat.
Admins are there to guard against such abuses because they cannot easilly be prevented.
But congratulations, you convinced me,this community is definitely not good place to waste my time.
Spring will sure be better without my "hitler" ideas and abuseable additions.

If linux rapid gets working again it's not too painful to use weblobby. I use weblobby on mac.
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
"The Community" isn't against you, your ideas, juggler or anything of the sort. There are some people that may not like nor want juggler, but I think the main argument in this thread wasn't what you were proposing but how it was delivered.Licho wrote: But congratulations, you convinced me,this community is definitely not good place to waste my time.

Regarding your idea, you really need to get a consensus for something that is mandatory to be implemented, and for that hoijui was suggesting meetings and similar. The !join thing was probably agreeable by most, but asking that it gets implemented by <some date> or you'd ban lobbies isn't the way to go.
Until it got implemented in the server, or everyone implemented it in their lobbies, you should've really made it optional. You're smart enough to be able to create a !supports-join or something that would've assured temporary compliance within !join compatible lobbies.

Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
There is probably some misunderstanding about the meaning of 'ban'. In this context Licho is talking about banning SL from springies because SL effectively breaks the juggler system. Those in the "spring is a game" mindset probably think he wants to ban SL from spring.
Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
No misunderstanding, i am pretty sure we all understood he meant banning SL from ZK. Luckily he has come to his senses on that one.
I still beleive the juggler should be banned from zk team games.

Re: SpringLobby - please implement !join
mm i see :/
so lets say 19:30 CET?
i think most other lobby devs are in CET (except aegis, which is somewhere in the US, and.. i guess he will not answer in this thread anyway).
19:00 on sunday might work for aegis... just a wild guess though.
so current proposal is 19:00 CET sunday.
if it is not ok for you, please make an other suggestion right away.
