I want to try to make stereoscopy (3D) for SpringRTS, I work with 3D for Unity3D based software, and probably can I export the changes inside SpringRTS engine (I'm worried about MT), but before I wish like to know if was another attempt to do it, I have searched inside forums and found nothing.
If someone know some discussion about that, let me know before start coding.

i always thought you could do that sort of thing in the graphics driver. Even the ancient 3DFX card supported VR helmets and such out of the box and I'm sure I've heard nvidia going on about it in the past. Does it really need support at the application level?

My widget is not a perfect solution. This should be implemented on the engine level. I've wanted to do so for a long time but I would need help.

Now all we need is the pricey 3D equipment.
