Much appreciated

Post by Valheru »

I've only just started enjoying the spring forums since the political and religious discussions were banned! Regret made a post sarcastically thanking you for the new, pleasant environment, and was banned for trolling.

I'd just like to give a massive thanks to the mods for the ban, I feel much safer now that he's gone, as before i was lurking the forums in constant fear. :)

I don't see any reason for disallowing such topics. Trolls will troll, but the discussions in the threads were very mature and it was no worse than any other thread on this board.

Bad decision imo. This forum is too quiet already, and banning the most popular subject is silly.

The most popular discussion is ba/lol/dwarf fort

Political threads are only popular because it is something that causes an emotional reaction. That is all. If all this community becomes is political drama then IMO this place is dead.

Careful, you should say overweight instead of fat. The ban-hammer approaches.

I don't believe Bruce is being a nanny about anything jaz. He is putting a stop to a lot of the bs people pull that really isn't civil. For example I have a warning for a macro I posted.

Did I start a thread bawwwwing about injustice? No. Fact of the matter is someone is trying to get this place in order and people are being juvenile about it. Like I said these guys keep it up and they will end up in trouble.

Internet? Try any format.

Politics, religion and sexuality tie into aspects that are deeply personal for people. As such there is no way to remain objective indefinitely. Even civil discussion will eventually break down ESP online.

Those topics bored me endlessly most of the time. I am enjoying that since discussion of them has been banned. That discussion of discussion of them is all the rage.

now all those trolls who studied religion and politics will leave offtrollic going for new subjects. Im expecting dsd- and modflamewars, as they were tardition before the rise of the politics.

is going meta-flaming on on-board-politics considered politics, because if thats the case, you guys are asking for the MC right now.
