yeah the forum is acting weird the last few hours.

Hmmm I used the filename of the Map though, so I need to look for some metainfo on the map somewhere to get the entries right ?

Actually that's the name of the archive file, which could contain several maps, so you can't identify a map this way.

It's just the map name, as used by the unitsync library, and as it should appear in your lobby client for example.
You can also check these names by opening the "ArchiveCacheV9.lua" file in the "cache" subdirectory of your Spring data directory.

K I got it sofar that the server starts, and the bot appears in the gamelobby. But for some reason I then have to download my own mod , that well ... doesn't download ... So do I have to configure the filelocation of my mod and declare it as something downloadable ?

What do you mean by "for some reason I then have to download my own mod" ? What's your nickname in lobby ?

ah well for clearaty , I'm testing this on one machine. I made an account alphadomination that is used by the SPADS bot. Next I logged in as sunspot in the lobby and I tried joining the loaded map. I got as response that I need to download the mod. So I try to download and then it just says it can't be downloaded. Hmmm small not the mod was in it's dir format on my disk alphadomination.sdd ... instead of sd7

you need to have the exact same version of the mod on all machines participating in the game. if the .sdd folder contains cache/temp or hidden files for example, it is considered different. in other words, pack the folder contents into an sd7 or sdz, move the sdd folder out of the data dir, and use the same archive on all the machines.

downloading through the lobby only works if you manually register/upload your games archive with the download system.

Thnx hoijui, I've got it to work last evening and this morning on my hosting machine. I still haven't manually registered it though. bibm told me to ask Dave or someone else who's name I forgot this right instant, for it , but they wheren't available in the chatroom last night
