That's cool, I remember always browsing this Päivän Peli-listing for interesting free games in the 90's. Do you know if they still print some of them on the magazine too?
And here's the permanent link to KP

Re: kernel panic on mbnet.fi game of the day
why give http://springfiles.com/spring/game-inst ... rnel-panic as homepage and not http://springrts.com/wiki/Kernel_Panic or even that other nice site?
Re: kernel panic on mbnet.fi game of the day

no idea. those guys are super lazy who maintain that "game of the day", probably uses less than 2minutes to maintain it every day.knorke wrote:why give http://springfiles.com/spring/game-inst ... rnel-panic as homepage and not http://springrts.com/wiki/Kernel_Panic or even that other nice site?
Re: kernel panic on mbnet.fi game of the day
yea, thats the sad thing about most sites that spring games were featured on so far. Maybe it is better then nothing but I bet they did not even try the game themself.TradeMark wrote:no idea. those guys are super lazy who maintain the site, probably uses less than 2minutes to maintain it every day.

Nah, it's pretty good they linked to an up-to-date and fairly direct download link, instead of a page full of confusing explanation and dead links.
As long as windows is the OS used, that installer should it make it painless to get KP working. If they had linked to springrts.com/wiki, most newcomer would have been scared away, or wouldn't have known what to do with the files.
