Looks very good but needs more color and texture variation. Looks too simple.

Reminds me of battlezone series which were one of the most awesomest games ever made.

this post is essencialy for me to get a grasp, on the base texture i should work, on more complicaded models :wink:

Your base textures look fine, it's just the variation that's a problem. There's not a lot of contrast between parts of the units, so it's hard to understand the shapes properly.

You may want to try adding slight colour gradients to units, similar to the technique the MidEast Crisis 2 team used with their Brummbar tank:

Your teamcolor is too random. Make parts of the model teamcolored, not random faces. Look at what smoth did to get an example.

The legs needs proper team coloring
and make teamcolor "outlines" on the cockpit

I think it's an improvement. The asymmetric colouring on a symmetrical model was off-putting.
