I need help. I've got a .vod along with .ifo and .bup files of my first skydiving trip. I'm looking for program (free is preferable) that can pull out a snippet of the video so I can put it online.
Anyone know any programs that fit the bill???

Re: Video file help
.vob or .vod
.vob is dvd format and it should be an mpeg2 stream
you can open this with virtual dub mod which is a modded version for mpeg2.
With Virtual dub you can convert this in any other format but you need the codec for it.

Re: Video file help
VLC is free, can transcode pretty much anything into anything, and doesn't need extra codecs.
Re: Video file help
your video format issue is because no video format can handle how loud your loud bostonian accent is! LOUD MELLO IS LOUD
Re: Video file help
VLC actually won't open the damn thing... its quite weird.

Re: Video file help
If vlc won't open it, that does not bode well...
Re: Video file help
try virtualdub, virtualdubmod or their forums.
