Req: command icons
I'm working on replacement for command menu.
To make it nicer I would like to get icons for common commands (move, attack, guard, jump etc).
I think that Smoth once said we can use his from Gundam, so perhaps just finish those missing in his set.
I also need small icons to represent state.
Like repeat on/off would be represented with "recycle" icon which can either be gray (repeat off) or green (repeat on).
Likeways cloaking could be blue eye which can be gray if inactive.
Priority could be up/down arrow.
Firestates need more imagination :)
Unit states will use smaller icons than normal buttons for commands and will be graphical only so they can be very small.

You can check what i mean by running test version of CA, there is chili_command_menu widget waiting for icons. (Make sure to disable ca_layout widget).

The "shields" are detail switches. For each row/category you can switch one of 3 levels of detail: none, minimal(default), all.
(Icons are just used randomly as a test, until we get normal icons).

A little offtopic, but will there be text underneath, or tooltips, or something? Because I speak english, not pictogram.

We can put text there too and they all have tooltips.
Notice that no other games dont have text :)

Its starting to look pretty good
A shame the state icons are so small though

That depends on the size, you can resize the widget when its bigger it wont split words.

Smoth's icons are very nice, although imho it would make the most sense to use the same icons that the cursor uses.
So like the attack skull icon for attack, etc.
Although if the cursor icons were replaced instead that would work too :D

Feel free to change stuff, imo it should match cursors too.

you should really change cusor style, this comics style does not fit imo, changing the loading screen was also a step away from this

I really like masse's cursors but I don't think they'd fit well as static icons.

I really like the current (non-jiggly) default icons as the ones that resemble TA look too abstract and use a similar colour scheme. I think some of the cursor icons could work as command menu icons but not all of them.
Attentive people may have noticed that Repair, Reclaim and Resurrect command icons are the same as cursor icons. While I like the cursor icons the other command icons could not work as well.
Move icon is not suited to a command menu

Patrol cursor icon could be used, it would be a massive improvement over the foot
Capture is just a red Reclaim, a new command icon is needed for it and this may be transferred to the cursor if it fits.

Capture should be a weapon.
The point isnt that we should use the cursor icons (now that we have smoths set), but that the two should match.
Whether this means remaking the cursors, remaking the buttons, or remaking both at once to match eachother.
