The funniest part is that the first half of Evil Dead 2 are like a "recap" of Evil Dead, except they completely alter re-write the whole story... and the lines in Evil Dead 2:

Felt like someone just walked over my grave. What's that picture? What

In 1300 AD they called this man the, ah, hero from the sky. He was
prophesied to have destroyed the Evil.

Evil Dead 2's beginnings was a truncated retelling of ED 1, cutting out as many nonessential (redshirt) characters as they can. So that leaves only Ash's pointless girlfriend. ED 2 ACTUALLY begins when Ash is thrown through the air by the evil spirit, turned (momentarily) into Evil Ash, then fights off the demon with the power of sunlight. Then ED 2 begins in earnest.

I think the reasoning behind that was, for some stupid legal reason, ED 2 couldn't have ANYTHING from ED 1 (footage wise).

But ED 2 was definitely hilarious, while ED 1 was definitely scary as all hell (but thats just me)

WHAT THE FUCK. I'm part teh way through Evil Dead 2, after watching Evil Dead 1, and its a completely different story with all the same people?!?!

Its a cooler movie, but just seems odd after watching the first.

Yeah. ED II is WAY better then ED I in the laughes and general awsomeness. But ED I and some out-of-your-mind-nighmare-style camerawork. But in ED II when Ash wakes up in the woods and the camera WHOOOSES up and round from his face is really cool!
