Re: 0k Logo
I don't understand how someone decided to turn a Z into an 0.
Re: 0k Logo
It's just explaining what "0" is for those of us who don't do maths. At all.Hobo Joe wrote:I don't understand how someone decided to turn a Z into an 0.

So I tried my hand at this logo-making thing.
The design's basis is, obviously, a thermometer.
Re: 0k Logo
FYI, if you're going for scientific accuracy, it's 0K, not 0k. Kelvin is capitalized.
Re: 0k Logo
'So whats the game like?'
'Well, its 0K'.
ZK isnt much better though.
How... how did this happen.

Re: 0k Logo
I know I know!
When picking names, there are a small but immensely popular collection of words that normally come to mind:
e.g. Turbo, Nitro, sub zero, Hyper, big numbers like 2000 or 3000, master, pro, Mega, Greek Gods, knights and paladins, Ice, Fire, etc
This hundred or so number of words is dwarfed by the number of names that use them. As a result I doubt anybody will ever take Nitro as a serious name for a product unless its related to actual nitrogen.
As such, the 0k moniker is kind of doomed. I would say even changing it to zero K would be better, or even zero kills or 0 Kills.
Right now when I think of 0k and here the word said in my mind I thin of coke zero, weight watchers food, 25% less fat, Zero antenna reduction claims from Apple competitors, Zero added sugar

It's not 0K its Zero-K

Or, "Not Ok".Licho wrote:It's not 0K its Zero-K
Re: 0k Logo
All my points still apply. I suggest you start a poll and survey people on the streets or on completely unrelated discussion boards, and ask them
"We have something called Zero-K, what is it?"
Multiple Choice, and I expect the consensus will be some kind of soft drink, cosmetic, or food item, not a game, and if so, an fps not an rts

Re: 0k Logo
This discussion has been had numerous times elsewhere, and unless you provide a distinctly better alternative supported with all the necessary marketing media you're unlikely to force a change. This topic is about the logo, not the name decision. Please discuss the logo.

Not OK for acronyms.

Re: ZK Logo
Its not an acronym. Although technically the correct way to write it would be '0 K'.
Re: ZK Logo
i still love the quantum's idea: "ecce maccina"
with its pureness, it would fit well to a TA-IP free thing. plus it would be different, as it's name is philosophical, instead of action/destruction/war inspired.
... problem would just be, that its still basically the same thing.

Re: ZK Logo
Ecce Machina was my idea, not Quantum's. It was passed over because, if I recall, Falco had a track of the same name at some point.
