Awsome widget, but it pwns my E 8400 GS 256 MB graphic card in seconds. It goes from any frame rate immediatly down to 5. Could this be a 8000 series problem? OR just this really drains alot of power? Because its really cool, and the picture does not do its justice.

If there's anything the 8xxx class cards should be good at, it'd be running shaders =s

3D analygraph?

Post by Isaactoo »

Would it be possible to make a widget which makes Spring 3D using cyan and red?
It would be an awesome widget...

Acctually, ensure that the colors are specifiable by the user, some monitors and glasses will present/need different colors

Yeah, and it'd also be nice to be able to customize the degree to which it separates the cyan/red from the object (more/less depth) and the opacity of the cyan/red (or whatever color).

It does on my 7600GT only a <10 fps drop. So I think it is a problem with the screen-copies. Perhaps a driver update helps?

if you have an ATi card, and something doesnt work/screws up with Spring, chances are its the card. and its a laptop one at that...

I just done latest 8000 series driver updates, it only improved my fps with the widget off by 5-10 frames, but yeah, it pwns hard, harder then dynamic water which 8 series cards get pwned doing.

Heres one picture using the depth of field shader, black outlines, shadows, and reflections on.
