an annoying method of trolling
spamming '!kick <player>' when your not even in the game.
i've seen ppl do it lots of times. and usually people !vote 2 but eventually everyone gets bored of typing it and stop paying attention to the person doing it till eventually it passes and the player gets kicked from the game. There should be a way to stop it because its just damn annoying.
dont troll me or else neddie will give u a warning!

Re: an annoying method of trolling
Probably the easiest fix is to make the autohost not consider actively playing players as in "away mode" for voting. That way you'd need a whole lot of people to actually make the kick vote successful.
Re: an annoying method of trolling
what is away mode
isnt there a minimum ammount of votes before it gets passed?

Re: an annoying method of trolling
Yes, but people in away mode aren't counted. So the vote starts at needing say 4 votes yes or no in order to end, but if people are in away mode (by not voting) then this number goes down. It's basically like having a quorum of only a fraction of the players, and it's why 3 people can change the map in a 12 player game if the rest are afk or in another window.Hacked wrote:what is away mode

Re: an annoying method of trolling
Add a !vote 3 to kick the vote-caller instead :p
Re: an annoying method of trolling
i see,
this seems to be related to the autohost-pm to unlock problem where outsiders would !unlock or !autolock 16 to get in the room
i think the solution would be to ignore votes from players not ingame unless half of the original players dropped (so any afk-ingamers wouldnt be a problem)
i so happen to have been in a high-jacked game where a vote-kicked 7-year old rejoined after the game started started votes to kick random people

Re: an annoying method of trolling
There's a problem (albeit alleviated by BA's autoquit widget) where a player is afk but still in a (long over) game. Although !voteexit can help here I guess.SirMaverick wrote:How do you kick someone who did not join the game?Evil4Zerggin wrote:Add a !vote 3 to kick the vote-caller instead :p
