ObeyDir

Post by Argh »

Boolean. For StarburstLauncher weapontype only. Defaults to 0.

If true, then the Projectile uses the dir of the weapon's firepoint, like all other weapons do, to determine the initial vector that it uses while waiting the period weapontimer. Then it is guided as normal.

Useful for a variety of things.

there's a tag that does this already, not sure if it works on starbursts though. iirc kdr made it a few years ago.

The fixedlauncher tag does not work on starbursts, last time I tested. What I want is an equivalent for starbursts, so that it can be time-delayed.

fixedlauncher=1 + starburst (vlaunch=1) missile works fine for me. (launched at 45 degrees from horizontal)

Redundant feature request is redundant. Move along, nothing to see here.

Why do people around here ask for new tags without reason? :? Argh, if you did need this, the proper thing to do would be to ask for fixedlauncher to work on starbursts, not a new identical tag.

But fixedlauncher is specific to missiles. I figured it was less confusing. Meh, those two weapon types probably should have been merged ages ago anyhow.
