Michael Bay needs adult supervision. He can shoot the military like it's porno, and he makes a damned solid action scene, all on a much tighter budget than guys like Spielberg - but so much of the movie is an insult to all our intelligences.

If he just used a solid cast and a solid script devoid of his tacky humor, he'd be the next James Cameron. But instead, he needs to add jive-talking morons, poorly-written conspiracy theories, and eyecandy where no eyecandy makes sense (ie. Sex in the Signal Processing Lab chick from the first movie).

I was so dissapoint. for every amazing scene, like opitmus prime kicking ass, there is a 'wait.. what?' like the rapping autobots who cant read and act like gangsta- why.
the giant old scotsman robot with a walking stick.
ngh there is just so much appalling dumb shit in here, it quickly adds up.
human interaction in this film is just painfully unrealistic.
the film lasts for a fucking age, 144 minutes but feels like 9000.
if the fx and fights didnt look so kickass i would condemn this as utter shite. as it is, opty is badass enough to make it passable, i guess.

He is only the director...he gets the script and cast and uses it as best he can...
He did not write the script and he is not responsible for casting.
There are "professionals" for that.
I think you need to talk to the studio that shed the $ for this film.

So someone paid him to deliberately make some of the worst films of the past 20 years? He is the director - he has almost total creative control, and yet he was unable to make a film that could live up to a toy commercial, twice.
