BAUniverse.com thoughts

Post by AF »

What do people here think about a bauniverse.com site like the old TAU but for BA and its sub projects? Is anybody else willing to step up and provide help or resources to accomplish this?

There's probably not enough news specifically about BA and any mutator projects to merit a full news site. A hyrbid news / file download site might work though, but I don't know if we need one as long as JobJol stays healthy.

This forum manages well enough, why not a new site?

The point beign ti would be somewhere to send users to look at BA and get the latest version. Right now they have to dig through the spring forums to get it, there's no collection of screen shots or artwork obviously available, and to figure out the latest version you have to read the lobby battle listings

I have nothing against the idea of a BA fan site.

Yes, it would be nice for BA to have a go-to website... but BA's subprojects are actually more actively developed than BA itself. Most of them gradually drift far enough away from BA (hell, wasn't even CA an AA fork originally?) that they're unrelated anyways.

All the more reason to do it, we can tout BAs wide and varied many active facets of development

If you tried more, it would not flop out, because it would be harder.

I'm sorry, what?

Let's start with the wiki pages on the spring wiki and see if there's enough content to merit a new site.

Anyone can edit the wiki and get to work on this new content, so hop to it :)

Thats an appalling idea yokozar since you can build a site using the 'new BA' announcements, a download page, and a few screenshots.

As a web develop, I am revolted by your idea

BA Guides: http://springinfo.info/guides/?cat=5

I'll probably be adding some more soon. Feel free to link to them or rip them if the site would be WP based.
