map conv crashing at features....

it is litterally crashing...

now the fs.txt exists, as does the feature file, the feature bmp is 1281X1281, which IIRC is the proper dimensions. I am using beherith's version of mothers map conv.

anyone?

features are one pixel less than metalmap so thats your prob i thhnk

20x20 map will be 1280x1280 featuremap

Is there any extra key stroke or a extra return
in the fs.txt. That might cause the crash ..

Are you by any chance using geo spots?
Geo spots in non flat areas can crash mapconv.
Also, having feature pixels next to each other can as well.
And yes, featuremap is heightmap-1.

Can you paste the output of mapconv please?

if you put features/trees (grass is ok, geos idk) too close too the edge of the feature map it can cause it to crash

added a 2 pixel border around the edge and no luck so it isn't features around the edges, it might be side by side features but I never had an issue with that before.

Smoth, sometimes mapconv is retardedly picky. Try using a 5 - 10 pixel black border on the feature map and that should do the trick.
