I've added about 18 screenshots and I'm about to post a new release candidate. I added the defense ranges widget. It seems to be rather stable with the new version of spring now.

Made some changes to the bombers and gave them better CEG Effects.

They now do a sort of carpet bombing style which makes them infinitely more useful. Also they fly much higher now.

Get it all here: http://evolutionrts.eamped.com/

UK, many people have issues with imageshack, usually more have them than dont. Some days it runs like clockwork, usually it runs like a nail. Eitherway its an extremely unreliable service

Decent question. I would suppose slowly, since nails don't move, especially if they are rammed into something.

No more long like longcat... :P

Well, nice CEGs and I kinda like the prerequisite system, though would be nice if there was actual research in the future. I better refrain from commenting on the models/textures.

Updated in light of Ray's report.

In some ways the llp and arty got a bit of a hard nerf, however they gained advantages to better suit what they were designed to do.

For the LLP, I think it's damage is about right now. The way it scales for each level is 75% of damage for first upgrade, then 60% damage of original damage for 3rd upgrade. Don't foget that sight radius and health goes up at each level.

For arty, I found a boo boo in the tdf, there were two accuracy tags... OOPS! Reloadtime increased by quite a bit, damage not touched, and aoe increased 150% (100 -> 250 in case you're wondering).

This should balance them out quite a bit better, and give the assimilator more of a reason to be built.

Will those ladders have anything to do with the campaign mode, or are they a separate thing?

Okay...that'd be a bit more helpful if knew more about what these ladders are, but saying that makes me look like a moron.

EDIT: Oh, wait, now I get it. Nevermind, I'm a stupid.

Frequently Asked Stupid Questions

Post by ScarySquirrel »

<ScarySquirrel> I installed the mod, but I only have version 75, and whenever I run the updater, it says "update complete", before closing. But when I check my list of mods, after refreshing it, of course, I still have only two Evo. RTS mods, "Evolution RTS - v75", and "Evolution RTS - v66".
<[Evo]Forboding_Angel> ahh umm uninstall that
<[Evo]Forboding_Angel> go to the directory listed in the topic
<ScarySquirrel> How do I uninstall the evolution RTS completely?
<[Evo]Forboding_Angel> start, program files, evolutionrts, uninstall

Hopefully noobs like me can start the makings of a Evo RTS FASQ.

hehe sorry about that, it's been an interesting road of ideas that did or didn't work, and the updater was wonderful, but completely messed over linux users so meh, I simply reverted. BTW new test version up in a few hours. This will be 99.6. The latest version is always available at: http://www.evolutionrts.info/evolutionpatches/

Additionally, when 1.0 is finished and released, new versions will be updated in mutator form to alleviate downloading the huge base each and every time.

But that is still a little ways off. The reason I'm still putting up the whole thing for almost every test version is that a TON of stuff has been added lately, and if done mutator-wise at this point would cause more problems than it solves.

Hi,

have played evolutionRTS to 0.9968 - runs nice.
But V1.0RC1 and RC2 too hangs on LuaUI part and no response more.
Both have this problem-so ATM unplayable for me.
