i used to use Firefox, But i'm back to IE. It's just so anoying pages aren't displayed/working correctly in FF. i do love all the FF handy extensions and such. But it's so anoying u always hav to some IE runnin as well because some pages don't show up correctly in FF.. Yes i know it's not FF it's fault.. but still it's anoying... too annoying
Firefox does make downloads faster, it processes data in a different way, for example it uses some methods fo downloading that you see in the likes of Getright and download manager by spawning multiple downlaod streams on some downloads. Also IE has some inbuilt limits, for example, only being able to downlaod a certain numberof files at once unless you use a seperate client.aGorm wrote:a brouser cant speed up your internet conection... thats just a daft concept. it can reder out a page faster, due to it being better writen and more streamlined, but thats why IE displasyes everything... It slow at rendering but is more genoros on errors and non standered code. Realy... its a poi8ntless argument to tell the truth. (soz... all typed with left hand.... ignore mistakes....)

I never said it made my connection faster, I just said that it devoted more of my precious bandwidth to downloading...aGorm wrote:a brouser cant speed up your internet conection... thats just a daft concept. it can reder out a page faster, due to it being better writen and more streamlined, but thats why IE displasyes everything... Doh!? Do you trust IE?GrOuNd_ZeRo wrote:... firefox ..., even though I don't even remotely trust it...
That is odd... Did you used tabs in Firefox?NOiZE wrote:i used to use Firefox, But i'm back to IE. ... i do love all the FF handy extensions and such. ...
It is the single feature that made me never go back from Opera/Firefox back to IE... (along with the pop-up windows blocking)
Try opening Firefox and Middle-Clicking on a link (works especially well when you want, for example, to see a serie of images or when you want to continue to read stuff on one page while the one you followed is still loading).
Once you get acostumed to that, you never want to go back. (i think)
