How to edit all the Units (which file)?

Post by Optimus Prime »

Hi

I searched the forum, but i couldnt find anything interesting about that.
In OTA I exportet the hpi file, edited all Units and made a gp3 file.
In Spring i dont know in which file the Units are saved, but I need to know it :-(.
(I wanna play with my friends, but for us, the balancing isnt good)

thx for help!

Everting you need is stored in the TA-Spring\mods directory. The files you search have the ending .sdz or .sd7 and can be opened with an unzipper ("z" stands for "zip") or 7-Zip ("7" for 7-Zip which is a freeware tool). You'll find the common subdirectory structure in these files...

thx a lot!

But now i have the problem, that i cant repack the edited files. When i want to repack more than one file, 7 zip doesnt function and i only can pack them with ace tool. When i do this and when i want to start spring, it says me, that mod file is missing :(

I have no idea! 7-Zip works fine for me. You could just use Winrar or Winzip and the .sdz ending for your mod. This should make no difference to 7-Zip.

[edit] Alternitively the newest version of winrar has pretty powerful 7-zip capabilities.

You can also use plain old ZLIB ZIP files, renamed to .sdz.
