Re: Random WIP
I like the shape of it from above, and curved shapes in general suit the style of arm that Saktoth and others have been talking about.
(High tech, light, curvy)
Although i would make the wings a bit flatter from looking at the side view.

Re: Random WIP
I like it, but I don't think it fits in CA.

I vote we do have a poll.rattle wrote:Let's not have a poll...
Re: Random WIP
I'm being a hypocrite and vote against.
Re: Random WIP
I was editing the picture that you made and came up with idea:
(Click for bigger picture)
Not an extremely large change, just moved the wings slightly but kept them the same shape.
It would solve all of the problems I had with the model shape at least.
Originally the model looked too front-heavy and unstable.
If you change the design to something more like this it looks like the wings are more a part of the design.

Re: Random WIP
My eyes, no blue background in the future or I'll troll you... and please, direct links to the image, the main ImageShack site is slow as hell.
Re: Random WIP
Sorry, I used to use ihostupost, but it isn't working so this is the first time I've used imageshack. Sorry about the background, should I repost it?

Re: Random WIP
That reminds me of one of the supcom level 1 bombers. I can't remember which one though, possibly the cybran one, or maybe the aeon...
Re: Random WIP
Probably Aeon, they had the sleek round look mostly. Although I can't really remember.
Yeah repost it with flat shaded faces and no full blue background, please.

Re: Random WIP
This was going to be a remodel of the AK for the CA project, but I got a bit carried away. I think I overdid it.
Re: Random WIP
Not that it doesn't look good but you are wasting so much UV space there by overlapping geometry. I would try to make the cockpit (eye?) a bit more visible from above, having it pop out a little so that this detail isn't lost.
Re: Random WIP
It's a mass unit, it should probably prioritize polygons over textures.
Re: Random WIP
it looks pretty heavy more like a thud/outlaw
pretty nice tho

Re: Random WIP
It'll be about 600-700 as consistent geometry, it's more worth the UV space than a few additional polies IMO.

I agree.rattle wrote:It'll be about 600-700 as consistent geometry, it's more worth the UV space than a few additional polies IMO.
