Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Ed.
2x 512MB "no name" DDRAM (tested before buying, working better than non-nonames :P ) - soon to be 2x 1GB "no names"
Asus GeForce 7600GS Silent - soon to be 2x or 79xx Silent
AMD x2 3600+ (EE:ADO) - soon to be 4xxx+ also EE
2x WD 250 GB hdds
Antec case and powersupply
17" SONY CPD G200 (FTW!) - I wont change it untill SEDs or OLEDs get competitive parameters (when they start selling them of course).

Ah what the heck.

Asus P4P800SE
Pentium 4 3ghz @ 3.6 ghz
2x 512mb DDR2... brand unknown. Probably Kingston or some other crappy brand.
BFG 7800 GS (AGP 8x) @ 461mhz clock, 1.4ghz memory... if you knew the stock speeds you'd be dropping a brick right now.
1x 200gig HDD
1x 140gig HDD
Some case (literally "some"... most of it is taken off because of cpu and gpu speeds ^^)
550 watt expensive super-high-quality brand-name silent PSU whose brand I've forgotten
19" NEC 90GX2

At least we can all agree that ASUS is the best.

Either that, or we're just all equally cheap and uninformed

I hear Gigabyte makes good motherboards too.

Well if we all want to get crazy about motherboard brands here i have a few pennies to throw down:

Asus = Good, recognizable, reliable, great for both AMD and Intel

Gigabyte = I've had good and bad experiences with them. Not as good as Asus in my book. Plus their mobo documentation is written in EngRish.

MSI = My favorite brand for AMD processors. When I begin work on going 64bit, i'll probably get my mobo from them.

Shuttle = They are more well known for thier teeny tiny cases, but they also make good reliable mobos.

Those are all the companies i've had experience with that are still in business.

Anyone else have their two cents?

I don't think I've ever had a brand besides asus, and I've never had a motherboard failure.

Had one back in the day. It was pretty tricked out. Surprisingly it was in fact pretty good. Never died on me once. Tho i thought biostar went out of business. haven't seen a new mobo from them since 99-01ish

I've seen one in a NES case and another in an empty whisky bottle on some random website... and one in a C64 case on yet another random site. The whisky bottle one was really awesome.
