Just compare KKND 1 and KKND 2 units

Yep, KKND units looked like toys, and tbh I've noticed something similar too with that bomber screenshot, but I think that's because of the blur, no idea how it actually looks in game.
I really like the current art though, not sure if making it more grim/dark would be an advantage.

At the underground lair where i work, we handle doomsday lasers and oversized plasma cannons on a daily basis. I can tell- those are absolutly realistic. Naysayers propably never tried for world dominance!

You dont get it- the release time was once in teenager-times and once in young adulthood. And all off the sudden -everything changed- just he stayed the same.

C&C - Red Alert 2

the most childish, and the one i played the most, by far.

and cause what picasso says makes sense (childhood vs teenage), just put fapping commander; problem solved.

ok ok :-D Now I see that I was wrong. Everything was looking childish :-D
Let's close this offtopic (about childish look). I am not worring about that anymore.
Good job with BAR!

These models are similar in style to the Supcom ones.

The ship proportions are a bit off, turrets are comically large compared to the ship body.

If you go for realism in a rts- rest assured in the normal view on these ships, the canon will be very small.. as will be the ship...

It is not like BA is slowly loosing players cause the models look old...
It is not why i Stopped playing..
If I recall correctly people stopped playing cause of changes to pathing(more veteran players), cause of lua scripts that were not controlled by BA but by individuals where the ones who had the right lua had a huge advantage and the fact there is no installer or website to quickly get the game and start playing it and cause of the annoying keybinding system that was left to text file editing.

Your point is? So they should just stop doing the art improvement? What the hell.

I sort of agree with Basic.

But still...
The real advantage of having new graphics its the fact BA is having a new launch a new name, i doubt you could do the same with a balance rework.

With that said, normaly people dont come back to a game just because of shiny new graphics if the reasons for leaving havent been adressed. But this is Spring i bet a lot of people will come back to check how BAR is doing. Its all about the social experience, a couple people get back talk with theyr old friends and maybe some will stay and play for a given amount of time.

So baby im all good with graphical remakes or updates.

Thanks Mr. Bob. :-) I'm close to having another batch of units ready for putting in-game.
(And not to go off-topic bob, but I was wondering, is that ET-colony still yielding any pretty pictures?)
