Looks good. :-)

I'll miss the cute little brown blump of a rezzer, but these new models look great!

Also answering a few months late:

I've never seen huge advantage from having the "best" widgets. Compared to SC, BA has much less microing required - it's possible for a human to reach maximum useful amount of commands per second even without widgets. At that point, additional widgets are just of a marginal use.
Rumpelstiltskin wrote:and the fact there is no installer or website to quickly get the game and start playing it
Those points are worked on. There's a BA website (balancedannihilation.org) but people didn't immigrate there - BAR is its second chance. And I bet someone's already doing an installer for BAR.
Rumpelstiltskin wrote:cause of the annoying keybinding system that was left to text file editing.
Has been/is being fixed. :P
scifi wrote:I sort of agree with Basic.

But still...
The real advantage of having new graphics its the fact BA is having a new launch a new name, i doubt you could do the same with a balance rework.

With that said, normaly people dont come back to a game just because of shiny new graphics if the reasons for leaving havent been adressed. But this is Spring i bet a lot of people will come back to check how BAR is doing.
Yeh! I think that if people, when BAR comes out, make a bit of noise about it, nudge their RTS-playing friends, their other gaming communities and so on, there's a real chance at making BAR a relatively big thing. ^^

The center wheel on the hammer? No. Why would it need to?

Isn't it obvious? The yellow thing in the torso! Feels like it should rotate violently when moving.

A large flywheel like that makes little sense, as the shear forces provided when turning the torso would be difficult to counter.

well exactly why would it need to rotate. Its fine tbh, (still would be cool xD)

Also that pitbul looks great but the opened pitbull the mid one , has a black ground texture under it, is that a decal?

Or some weird blob shadow thingy.

Looks like a non-regenerated aoplate from model's previous version.

Because that'd be a really cool instance of tech porn.

Yep, the AO decal is fixed in svn.
By the way, we are at 92% of all units modeled, and at 86% of all units ingame. We really would need a bit of help on the atlassing front, its easy and fun, kind of like a paint-by-numbers book.

If it possible - make them look more agressive (not playtoy) :-D
Models look good! I like them. Just my thoughts
