BAR as a 'skin' for BA

Or vice versa.

Imho BAR is a great idea and it is almost completed.
And it could work perfectly in collaboration with BA.
Perhaps, simply as a skin - so you can choose what units you want to see.

Hopefully we can put (renewed) energy and time into BAR and do the last but important tweaks/fixes:
  • Simplify models for better strategic view
  • Some more unique designed models for builders f.e.
  • Complete the new audio set & fix some effects
  • Some new designed models for Triton f.e.
Let's re-ignite the BAR project - along with the BA10+ development.

As far as I know, there is no way to have a synced game in which some players see BAR models and some use BA ones. There is some issue with scripts being incompatible but I don't have much expertise in that. Perhaps someone else can explain?

In any case, YES PLS NEW DEVELOPERS ARE WELCOME :D

This is impossible because the collision volumes and scripts (for example) are different. Both these elements affect the synced part of the game; for example a shot that was blocked by a BAR unit might not be blocked by a slightly smaller version of the "same" unit in BA - or the BAR com might decide to march around with its arm at one angle whilst the BA com decides to have its arm at another angle, then when it comes to fire a dgun they would fire at slightly diferrent times, which could affect if a unit dies, etc.

Ofc these things also affect balance (a bit).

the BAR Panther might be unique but personally i find the design horrible for this unit. pls Change that and make it more like a tank. a fast tank on 6 wheels maybe
