If you go for a starcraft UI put the building options in the right hand menu and hotkey everything to keys that make sense. This will free up the center entirely and requires less mouse input.

I never said I wanted to copy starcraft UI, I said it was ok to get inspiration from it, in a meaning of graphic design :?

Hahaha dont be absurd, this kind of design is utterly standard for all RTS's and what Crem has done isnt even remotely infringing.

copy = identical twins, cloned...
inspired = original + your own good ideas + tweaks + multiple attempts + still visible ancestry = new something

Its uterly difficult to do something usefull & original today, most things were tried (even if you dont know it) at least once. And Blizzard copied the starcraft UI from Warcraft II and Warcraft II copied from C&C and Warcraft 1 and those copied from DUNE and Dune copied from some Point and Click Adventures- shall we continue till we can lawsuit cremuss for fringing PONG? There is a dot there, in those screens, i see what you didnt do there ;)

Crem Taking inspiration theres no problem with that, in fact i encourage to see starcrafts ui how simple it is and easy to acess.

But one thing i should remind you, once i made my gui some people told me, that spring users like simplicity and the ability to actualy see almost the whole map on the screen. I enjoyed the recource bars you made, they seam very standard and good.

But i think the lower parts of the gui reminds me of earth 2150, witch isnt bad but ocupies mutch of the screen.

Anyways the overall look and organization is great now move to the coding fase.

Congrats on all the work youve done, btw what will be the name of the mod :wink: ? or is it for BAR :wink:

Only complaint after second version is that the unit info box is cluttered and hard to read.

i love the style; reminds me of micromachines in a very good way... should look great from a distance overhead as well as up close...
