Actually its more random funfact than random wip:
backfaces of planes get rendered too and each side can have a different texture. at least with s3o.

@ karl - remove tracks and wheels, these can be made very easly, much 'cheaper'.
fill space between tracks, make 1 square in front of it, use alpha channel to make circle, paint wheel. when it comes to tracks, check s44.

High poly doesn't mean detailed. It's about how you spend your polygons and about how you use the texture.
I can make a more detailed tank with 5% of the amount of polygons you used.

Karl, I will give you 50 pennies for a 100dollar bill..
this is a 50 to 1 trade, you will profit greatly!
the point, more polies is not better. If you believe so, then I have an even better deal, I will give you 100 pennes for a 1000 dollar bill(yes, they exist)! that is 100 to 1! think of the profit!
Your tanks do not have proper normal setups, I question your texturing ability, both major factors in how a model looks and how the geometry sells the shapes and form.. then again, I agonize for minutes at least on if I should use 6 or 8 sides to a cylinder :)...

I never did texturing job, and i just dont feel like painting a model directly on the textures, Honestly and the only texturing job i can do is pixel painting more not , i have even 2D collection of pixel tanks but it is somewhere else...
