SLI? is this the thingey where 2 PCI gcards can be linked together or something to increase the power???
Yes, you use 2 PCI-Express video cards. Right now its only
Nvidia 6600 PCI-E, 6800 and 7800 cards. ATI's solution called
Crossfire requires a new ATI MB and a ATI 850XT Master and
a another 800XL or 850. Right now the Fudo 520 card was
pushed back. Its going to be 2 or 3 month delay ...
Right now, the CrossFire solution will be availble around Oct.

Isn't that a bit redundant?, the 7800 and 6800 and ATi's top cards will render anything you throw at it at very high settings. By the time you actually see a difference you can buy a new card that does an even better job.

Heh, it's a game of bragging rights to the people who buy these solutions, not nessesity. Enthusists don't care if thier card already displays everything good enough, they just want to be the best at thier game.
