GLSL time again.

Here I sketched a prototype of the health percentage based look. Unlike the previous (similar) work on scavenger units, this time around the unit textures and parts deformation depends on the actual unit health. Here on the screenies there are two identical units. One of them is severely damaged.

Upon repair it will look shiny and fit again.

Stunning stuff, wish you'd been around when we were working on MCL.

So, this is a strange duck.. Its a transport aircraft.. honestly, the whole realism limitation is starting to suck.

Imagine the fireworks that battles with tracer ammo could be at night..
If you make those upward going tracers dynamic light sources and add ocassional flares..
You could have those movie night battles

Ivand is all sorts of awesome

Question, what does HP then reflect. Likelihood of hit?

:o Big difference! And you resuscitated kloot.

From your explanation there, I am in favour of your plan, but frankly I am a million miles from understanding the technical ins and outs of this.

I worry if we don't do that, then both develop and maintenance wither and die unfinished. We need new people to contribute, seems to me kloot trying to take on the whole push to OGL 4 himself demonstrated that incredible though he has been, it isn't sustainable for him in the long term.

Question, what does HP then reflect. Likelihood of hit?
How much stuff there is inside to break before it can't drive around anymore.

I recall someone saying the image has to be hosted on the Spring website itself to stop dead links in the future.

Wow nice. The movement (lowering and errecting) of the torso and head in the rhythm of the walking… knees and ankles… feels very natural.
