This tool looks wonderful (Pixexix)

Lets you draw textures on your models. The free version is limited, but it should be fine for most things. The paid version is 15 pounds.

This looks really cool, IMO. It would take a lot of the pain of texturing away from people who want to hand-paint their textures or to achieve a cartoony look. I'm interested to see what the CT folks think of this.

Tried it, had memory leak issues on my system.
Spent a good 1h trying to export and unwrap an old sketchup tank model so it would work with this program, now have three new softwares installed but no texture to show for it.

Then again the only 3D programs I ever found easy to use is sketchup and rhino.

Also, deep paint 3d. This capability has been around for like 10 years.

Moreover, you can do it in photoshop.

You realize that by posting that link in this topic, thanks to the magic of the "referrer" field of HTML headers, they will now see a spike of traffic coming from this topic and investigate the source and find out about what you do in your spare time now right?

My development partner has learned how to 3D model himself, and he doesn't even play games at all, not even old ones, has played a few games yes, but does not game as a hobby or anything.

I guess I'm with Cremuss in that I don't understand what could be bad about that. But whatever, I work in a completely different industry.

On a side note, hope you get the job Cremuss, you make good stuff! :-)

Have not tried this, probably won't. My inefficient method of texturing is burned into my soul, and its unlikely it'll change anytime soon.

Pretty much, not providing the only feature I want.

all you need for unwrapping is a decent flatten mapping algorithm to get a starting point, detatch/stitch, and some practice

(amirite gaize?)

edit: and yeah who cares if cremusses employers follow him here, all hes ever done here is contribute models/content of a high order to the community.

That's actually what I was hoping would be implied from what I said.

That said... linking you to MY employers website would only end up with me being fired... even I know I'm incompetent, lazy and a jerk...
