Gimp 2.7.2

Post by Andrej »

Gimp 2.7.2 was released about 4 days ago.
All the test version builds on first page when googling for "gimp 2.7.2 windows" were outdated and i think it will take a while before the official 2.7.2 installer so hope this helps anyone (And no missing dlls (like msvcr71 lololo))

I actually checked his post count and spot checked a few prior posts... heh... Thanks for the link but I use gimp at such a low level that I'm just gonna wait for the official windows build.

Biggest visible changes are: you can enable single window mode instead of having like 8 floating windows in taskbar and layer groups.

I've been using the 2.7.3 daily builds on Linux, since I couldn't find a .deb for 2.7.2.

Single window mode is a *huge* improvement. The other big difference is that Ctrl+S and Ctrl+Shift+S only save as xcf, and you need to use Ctrl+E and Ctrl+Shift+E to export to anything else, which is taking some getting used to.

And, because it's the daily unstable version, it's pretty buggy and is making KWin lag like crazy... but I suppose that's my own fault.
