Rattle, that owns.

But seriously that acronym is just bad. Everyone will see it as "OK"

Which is why an official logo that uses the 0 K acronym (if the devs want to go with that) should use a slashed zero.

more interesting background

retro style and a busy busy background (which is why I went with black in the first place)

I like your first one better. The dithered background looks "not great".

If Zero-K refers to the heat death of the universe, a starless sky is far more appropriate.

Man the Font is WAY MORE AWESOME :D

Background isnt bad  for a logo the earlyer black style with some blue ligth effects would be better

But for posters this one is awesome

remove the noisy background and that would be a pretty spiffy icon imo. It still pains me to think that zero-k is the best we can come up with :| reminds me of the Special K cereal. (or "okay" in the abbreviated form -- which is not okay)

yes. I agree fully.

Also, something I think some people haven't picked up on yet. Not to be touchy, but
A logo is a shape, not glass effects, or atmosphere.
A simple design that can stand on its own should be selected, and later built upon. I'm behind rattle's.

Its Zero K or ZK or maybe 0k but people seem to have decided thats too much like 'ok', but its never 'Zero Kelvin'. Just saying. Otherwise, nice work scifi (but again neither a logo or an icon, more of a splash page).

Rattle, the problem is thats barely legible.

No need for starless skies, just spacey futurey is fine. The 'feel' of the theme is more important than the content of the theme.

All of this makes little sense considering that in the absolute zero there is no life and barely any motion

I've just come home from night shift so I might put it up later.. bear in mind I googled the planet image so copyright goes to random person on the internet

Well, its not at or near the heat death, or there would be scant few planets to stomp around on and very little energy to shoot your giant robot lasers.

Its more an allusion to the ceaseless grind of time and the ultimate eventuality of death even to immortal robots bleak nihilistic etc (dont ask me i didnt come up with the name).
