Core t2 bots - Finished!

Post by Beherith »

Post your opinions/gripes, since I most likely wont turn back after I start unwrapping these. Awesome morty and dom by smoth ofc.

Edit:
Units I am particularly happy with:
Radar, roach, adv con, sumo

Units i am unhappy with:
Pyro, skuttle, manticore

EDIT2:
Finished!
Here are all 15 bots, ready for Spring!

Special thanks goes to smoth for the morty and dom models and lots of help, and for Kaiser for the pyro, can and roach textures, and the valuable feedback and encouragement.

I like 'em all except the manticore looks a bit.... off, not sure what it is, and the spybot doesn't look very stealthy. Otherwise great work.

Oh and does that morty only have one leg? O_o

They all look neat but
ok lemme give you advice:
(starting from left)

-What is the first bot?

-Spybot's paws look too heavy and clumsy - almost like hover pads. Imo the original concept of the paws are fine!

-No need for totally new manticore. The original model is really good imo. Just tiny improvements to legs and thats it!

-morty has only one leg and amputated arm? :-)

-Can should look more simple and rude - just a heap of metal plates. Needs more pyramid shape - just like the original. (It looks more like sumo now...)

-That ambhious duckbot needs more ducky flatfoots. Widen up them...

-Pyro looks good imo but you could shape up the flamethrower a bit more to look like flamethrower and give some characteristics...

Rest of them im totally happy. Good job!

The Construction bot and the CAN could be better IMO.

Conbot looks too much like a fatty ATST, and doesn't really resemble the original.

With the CAN, I really liked the Cinema version of it that has more of a rounded curvy look something like a fatman with beerkeg arms.

I still have no idea how the Can can manage to walk... or even why they gave it legs in the first place. If the base is that wide, surely tracks would have been a better option...

Cool beans.
Tryed it without the head?
small critique:
think u can change the feet to look more like a quadruped Mech's feet?
i.e. not turned front in an obvious way but sort of multi directional liek a spiders but very heavy looking.
This guy although cool looks too much like the dog mech form power rangers.
