Exactly what I meant, and if you have a reinforced walker model which can lock joints, in theory you could use a dual catapult to launch it up and out onto terrain. This can be seen in so many games and anime, however, it may be a little passe.

hmm could even launch them to their first waypoint perhaps. or at least a certain distance in that direction.

models remind me of a mix of eldar and tau style from WH40k
