Minimap at bottom? how?

Post by TradeMark »

This is what i want:
Image

Why: LCD screen darkens colors at top of my screen, when minimap is at bottom, i see it as i should see it.

+ the infobox would have a bit modified background, so the chat would fit better in that place...
+ the resource bars would have been resized in horizontal aspect.

I guess this would need some engine changes? since the minimap buttons are at bottom, not at top of it.

Is this in correct forum? maybe a feature request..?

not sure but I don't know if this is the best place to ask. Seems more a lua/moding section question.

I would love to screw around with Iceui, but I've failed at trying to find any documentation...

I understand I am just saying other more important things like the os are also stored there. they should keep the config files with spring like quake3 did

OOOOHH

See what you do is you tilt your monitor properly so its at the right angle to your eyes, otherwise the edge furthest away will be darker than the edge nearest to you.

easier to make minimap at bottom :)

and tilting doesnt even help in my case. screen wouldnt feel good when its in any higher angle, plus, then i would see the bottom lighter.

Than to take your index finger and push the bottom of the monitor inwards? Or if your on a laptop even a quick flick of the lid will fix it. You obviously lack balls to be incapable of pushing something with a gramme of force

my screen is in static angle (can only rotate at left or right), i cant rotate it in other directions unless i build my own stand for it. + as i said, i dont even want to rotate it in other directions.

rotation isnt the only way to change the angle, moving the monitor upwards or downwards will work just as well, or adjusting your chair so its higher!
