:-) soz, looked like you had used a mouse. You seem to draw entirly at 1 line wheigh and its too thick thats all. You should try drawing BIGER and then shrinking it.. you lose alot of feeling cause your lines are all so wide.

And yhe... I lol att he sword myself, but I wasn't goona say.

Whats he a character for? or is he just a random dude?

Um... yeah? I also forgot to shade some parts, and he's not casting a shadow...

Just sketched the same dude, (well ok i gave him a second sword...) cause i had nothing better to do.

BTW, you should try adding in some hard shading, that will help alot. You use to much soft shading, makes him look ... not quite solid.

Uh... I drew with pencil and ink. On paper. Then scanned it in. That's why the lines are rough (it was a small drawing)

I'm not that brilliant with a tablet at current: my lines keep going all over the place, hence why I'm sticking to ink for the time being.

EDIT: Nice cigar by the way :P

:-) Thats cool, im not complaining. Either your pens really think then or it really is a tiny tiny drawing... Still, its a cool character. And it gave me something to do on this boring afternoon. And... yhe, im not sure why mines smoking... maybe mines an evil twin?

The pencil drawing is around 6 inches tall, IIRC

EDIT: I overestimated. It's more like 4 inches

PANSY! Sorry, had to. :P

Speaking of tablets what do you guys have? Do you have any low budget recommendations? Wacom has them in the price range of very affordable ├óÔÇÜ┬¼50 up to ├óÔÇÜ┬¼500 for example and I don't quite know if the low budget ones are worth their money.

I had to get an A4 Intuos 3 cause I couldn't spoare the 3 grand from a cinquic (or however thats spelt..)

But thats hardly cheap at £300.

Still, any wacom is good. (EDIT:: well an a6 intous is probablie better than a larger graphier.)

So are the cheap ones worth their money or are these just toys? I'd like to do better textures but I can't draw straight with the mouse. That and it takes ages (and a lot of CTRL+Zs).

Sorry for going off-topic by the way. :P

Graphite 4 isn't it? 80├óÔÇÜ┬¼ on the official site, so shop offers might be ~50 to 60├óÔÇÜ┬¼ if I'm having a bit of luck. Thanks.

Got a refurbished one of those for ~40 bucks. Works awesome. Even if you don't like the pen, the fact that the mouse movement is super precise and rock steady is very nice. I find myself using it as my primary input device, even when not doing something graphics related. The drivers need to be fiddled with for maximum use, of course, but surprisingly some programs just work plug-and-play with no drivers what so ever.

Graphires suffer from a less cool pen than an itous, whos pen is nicly weighted and feels way more like a real pen.

You know.. the bigest bonus with having a wacom is the fact theres a rubber on the end. It is witout a doubt the biggest time saver in drawing on the PC ive ever found. Seein as the graphire also apears to have that, Id get it. 80├óÔÇÜ┬¼ is a steal!
