Why would you even bother with that last step?

sorry Kloot, the information just isn't simple enough for me to figure out how to use obj's for map features.

1) model cube in Blender, save as cube.obj
2) run Blender script to generate cube.lua
3) put cube.obj and cube.lua in objects3d/
4) in features/cube.{tdf,lua}, add "object = cube.obj"

What's the big stumbling block? (PM if you like, it's OT here)

Still works, but has its source (and windows EXE) moved to : https://github.com/beyond-all-reason/OBJ2S3O

Also, it now performs the per vertex ambient occlusion baking, AND the baking of AO plates, once you have xNormal installed.
