New map - Nuclear Winter v1

Post by Beherith »

Hi folks, back with a new map. This time its a 20*12 sized land map, for 10-16 players.

Made with the usual world machine+wiced combo.

Enjoy!

God I love all your maps. This one is so smooth and looks so sleek and realistically epic.

Would you be able to make one or two 2v2 3v3 maps instead of these ones for 10+ players? :D I'm pretty sure you're probably the best mapper around right now ^_^

No typemap, though I was planning on adding a subtle one...

Btw, If any mod wants a diff version, with a changed resource layout or no metal patches, feel free to request it.

You could probably PM Smoth to that effect - iirc, he avoids hanging out in Spring's forum much, but this map does look like something to his tastes.

i only see one bigspot worth 3.3, with every other spot giving 2.0

bigspots in middle are here to stay :colbert: they tip the tide of battle and also reward the risky strat of a front line t2 lab.

Yes, the one big spot in the middle is to encourage pushing. I really like how the big spots work on tabula, which is why I added it. Its not proportionally as strong as the one on tab, but still useful.

The bottom quad ramp bit is porcy, yes, but I think a map should have both open and porcy areas.
