Wouldnt you have to re-create the texture by hand?

IMO this isnt that important. Maybe edit the alpha textures so they are black instead of pink and put up with a little crappy-looking-ness on a few units.

The .cob/.bos and other bugs and gameplay issues (melee, spells) are far more important, i think.
Upspring has a nice button. Obviosuly, the resulting UVmap is simply a bunch of rectangles mapped to the individual bmp textures used in the 3do, there's no visual improvement just from tht, but rather tahat it allowsyou the more advanced features of s3o (i.e. texture 2 stuff)

It was worth a trip through the campaign, but that's about it. Also, the building-less faction was _SO ANNOYING_ to play. Pointless Micro Ho!

Word. Hated that faction. I really liked those Executioners though, especially the golden level 3 ones. :)

Zohn wasn't really that hard to micro, i mean all that you could do was shift click or do ctrl click and that makes the unit build more of that type continusly.

Yeah, what else was there? Some faction starting with A... basically your good guys, Taros - the average bad guys, Zhon = furries and then there were the fish things. Forgot all the names. :(

Those who ever got to play the Iron plague expansion (luckilly i did) got to play with the tanks and stuff of the Creon

Veruna was win, although there was always something satisfying in building like 6 big cannons as Aramon and watching ~100 infantry get annihilated before they can get in range.

I used to love doing that, I would play aramon on a castle map and just fortify myself with strongholds, the enemies would get blasted making a nice soothing crunch

I can play all the races equally well and I never understand much of the 'unbalanced factions' stuff.

For me, you should pick your race/faction on a few conditions.
1. the map
2. your partner/s race/faction.
3. your strategy

no good picking something like zhon on a map where you know there will be lots of close quarters fighting.
and so on.

Also I'm not sure the TA players who did give it a chance and didn't like it, played with the 3.0 patch.
Anyway, online multiplayer owns the campaigns.

Since people have made lots of maps where each player has a base, normally on the same side of map as their partners and the base's have a set amount of lodestones.

Anyway, for me this game doesnt have a replacement yet.

Sad story lol
