I've done a bit of work on the Chili wiki section, https://springrts.com/wiki/Chili.
It's almost but not quite finished, because I did it sitting at a computer that cannot run Spring - the screenshots page and two of the examples will have to wait a couple of days. There is much more content than before, also all matching Chili as it is now. @jK & others, please let me know if anything needs corrections.

Looks great, but please follow https://springrts.com/wiki/Spring:PageNamingConventions
For some reason the 'community portal' link seems to have been removed from the bottom wiki nav bar so nobody finds this page any more.
Also wrt: Adding Chili to a Game, there is a rapid package which you can depend on too.

Ok, I'll look at the naming conventions soon-ish. Is it possible to move a wiki page or does one just have to create new & copy/paste?
Also, if you know how to add Chili as a rapid dependency please add it to the page - I don't.

Re: chili wiki pages
I think I've followed the paging convention now - right?
Also, file uploading to the wiki is broken https://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=4943, but when it is fixed could the upload limit be raised? Imo it's not really possible to showcase GUIs/gfx/etc using images of <2mb - I tried halving my screen size and they still didn't fit.

Re: chili wiki pages
convert to .jpg? pngs usally are huge when the image content is non-plain. i know jpgs are lossy, but 2MB for a pic should be enough.Silentwings wrote:it's not really possible to showcase GUIs/gfx/etc using images of <2mb

Re: chili wiki pages
Using png for images is a good thing, but if you're posting entire screengrabs as png, that's no bueno. For a full size screengrab, use a jpg at 100% quality (irfanview is an excellent tool for this). Any degradation will not be noticeable and it will do wonders for the filesize.
