Also that build is 3 months old, so let me put up another one. I also updated spring lobby to .217

Cool, will check it out sometime this weekend I expect. Thanks for your efforts, and I am really looking forward to a Mac OS X version on par with the others, so I can play online again.

Speaking of which, would love some online games against others sometime using this test version. Anyone up for it?

SpringLobby (both old and new versions) is crashing when trying to add the new engine version. I haven't yet tried adding it manually be editing the preferences file.

Yah I noticed this. It's not the engine but some crazy behavior with springlobby. You can't have more then one spring .app loaded in springlobby. First you must clear the old one, restart spring lobby, and load in the new one...

Whatever was causing it seems to have been fixed with v218. I updated both apps in the OP. Maybe I should update every tuesday or something?

It's the fact that you bothered to get it all sorted in the first place, and that you can now do it so easily. I am so looking forward to getting back into playing regularly again. I've got about 1000 in-game hours, but most of that was accumulated over 5 years ago, very little since. Here's hoping 99.0 is officially released soon!

Say, there isn't an OS X build of 98.0 floating around somewhere that works on Yosemite, that would allow me to play online games against anyone today?

I wish, I would like to play too, but there were a few compile errors that has since been fixed.. and I can't recompile 94.1 because cmake is a pain (the existing osx app bundle on Sourceforge crashes when I load a game). I tried downgrading cmake in my macports install, but I still hit issues. Don't remember quite what it was, but I remember thinking there was no way I could get around them.

Could you please create a build? Would be awesome to put link to download mac os x version to that news page too!

Awesome! My computer is churning it out as we speak.

I have a 10.6 on virtual machine, which I use to compile other projects for backward compatibility, but due to the SDL2 requirement spring doesn't compile for 10.6... And 10.7 isn't supported by Virtualbox. (Not to mention I would loose 10.6 for my other projects...)
Long story short, I'm afraid we are stuck with 10.10 only builds. Probably for the best, if your machine supports 10.7, it supports 10.10 and the update is free. And if it doesn't it probably wouldn't have enjoyed playing games anyway.

Dang I was confused by the 99.0.1 tag. Which turned out to be the wrong one. I have to recompile, and we are leaving the house again.. But rest assured, there will be a mac build before I go to bed tonight.

is there a way to integrate the build into the official build process?

the .dmg file can't be directly used for automatic downloads of springlobby, what needs to be done, to get it in a format, that works with springlobby?

springlobby atm expects a .7z file...

sorry that i didn't link/upload to these files, but 99.0 was to broken... :-|
