Need a working spring folder

Post by Bla »

Can someone copy their spring .app file for me? I want to make a Spring AI in java for a school project, but the school computer only has Mac. Needless to say, I don't have admin rights on a school computer, so I can't do sudo.

I've gotten wine to work, but the java AI interfaces can't be loaded, and all java AIs crash (and my computer science class is java only). Wine's it's running folder is [my student account]/wine files/spring, but because of our schools networking thing, I can't access [my student account].

I'm wondering if someone could copy and paste their spring folder, and give it to me. I need a static build. Thanks!

Or perhaps someone knows how to configure wine, so it's running folder is on my desktop? Thanks!

for wine: did you install java jre? afaik spring and java ai's need jvm.dll from the java jre.

does an older osx build work for you? http://springrts.com/dl/buildbot/defaul ... eopard.zip for example. not sure which is the last working one...

sadly compiling spring is a lot of work on osx :-|

can't help that much as i don't have osx.

It works, thanks!

But where/how can I get a lobby? Preferably springlobby, since it can place AIs in a single player?
Also, where do I put the maps/games?

Btw, thanks for the 94.1!

This version is a bit deprecated by a couple of months but you can use weblobby by going to http://weblobby.springrts.com if you don't mind setting up java (I use it on my macbook).
