Spring RTS Engine

hi folks,

not sure if this is the right place for it... but...

i'll be waiting for a game to start in the background (which can take a while sometimes as players wanter into the battleroom)... and while doing this i surf in the background.

i noticed that if i do this... often times i'll get disconnected from the server after a few minutes. Then when i restart springlobby... it will try to autolog me back in... but will fail stating that i am "already logged in". i then cannot log in for between 15 minutes to 30 minutes

This also happens if there is a game crash during start of the game for whatever reason.

Is there a reason for this or a fix? Rather frustrating to say the least.

I already got this. One of the reason I create multiple account (ok, that is an excuse ! :D )

More seriously, I also experience the same issue (15 min) while my isp closed my connection and tried to reconnect. What used to be a short delay just happen to be a bit longer now, dunnu if anyone made that on purpose but that is the case from my user experience. Just create a second account and you will be fine switching between the 2 .

you should timeout after ~1 minute, if not thats a bug.

the next time when it happens: can you please post here which username and at what time it happened, maybe i find something.

I'm having that problem right now, Username: [PinK]pta[Q___Q] already logged in since 10 min. I had some high ping ingame and then it happened (I didn't dc form the game and I finished it normally)

update: I logged with another acc and kicked my first acc form the autohost (it was Overkill1) and it fixed the issue, so it might be a hosts problem actually, that it doesn't see someone dc from lobby? I dunno.

Also make sure that no "springlobby" or "spring" process is running. Maybe GUI part is now shown but process is still running.

i couldn't find anything in the server log file which indicates a bug. are you sure that the lobby client was probably closed?

i.e. check netstat / task manager / ps

I had the same after a PC crash, I still saw my account logged in for a good 15..20 mins

A semi-crashed springlobby.exe running in the background after a system/SL crash seems the most likely explanation to me.

time / username needed. the lobbyserver was recently heavily modified. If it didn't happened recently (<3 days ago) it doesn't really matter.
